What Does It Mean If the Color of Your Baby’s Mucus Changes?
Your baby’s mucus type and color can indicate whether or not he or she is healthy and in good condition. It can also mean that your baby is a little bit sick.
What to watch out for includes:
- Murky mucous: You can presume that your infant is doing great.
- Thicker mucus that is white or gray: This might be alright or it might be caused by sinus congestion.
- Colored mucus: Your infant could be mildly dehydrated or have a cold.
- Brown to green mucus: This is troubling since bacterial or viral infections can cause mucus to appear green.
- Brown or red mucous: Your child may need to be cleaned since their mucus may contain blood or filth.
