Lines and Wrinkles

As one grows older the skin starts to lose its plumpness and elasticity. Which results in fine lines and wrinkles. This is a natural process and not necessarily something a person needs to treat. However, for those who choose to, glycolic acid may help.
A 2020 study was able to show that glycolic acid:
- Stimulates the production of collagen, the main structural protein in the skin
- Increases the level of hyaluronic acid in the skin, a substance that helps the skin stay moisturized
- Improve the quality of elastin, which promotes skin elasticity
- Increases fibroblast and keratinocyte proliferation rates, which help with skin repair and regeneration.
