Why Are My Veins Blue and Green?

Where on the Body Are Veins More Visible?

As said earlier, the superficial veins are the ones that can be seen through the skin and there are certain parts of the body and face in which they are most visible on, such as abdomen, forehead, backs of hands, shins, thighs, chest, forehead and neck.

Basically these are places where your skin is thin. Green and blue veins can also be seen where your skin is thin. Skin can become thinner and more elastic with age, making veins appear more prominent. Also, asides the age factor, the less fat you have, the more your veins may show.
