Cats Are Less Dangerous to Visitors
One thing you have to worry about if you keep certain breeds of dogs is their reaction to visitors. Some dogs are aggressive to visitors they haven’t grown to know well yet. For security purposes, this can be a good thing. But if you do not intend to have your pet dog double as a guard dog, its antics can make visitors very uncomfortable.
Cats are not as aggressive towards visitors. Unlike some dogs, cats do not chase visitors around the house to bite them. Pain from cat bites is also comparatively mild, although cat bites also carry a risk of infection. [9]
