Shetland Sheepdog

Shetland sheepdogs are very much like border collies and are tagged as miniature working Collies. [13] These canines are eager to please their owners and once instructed with the basics during obedience training, they have been set for life. They are lively, high-spirited, and intelligent herding dogs that are interested in learning new tricks and playing with kids. Not many know this but they’re also great watchdogs because of their attitude towards strangers. Shelties can identify a stranger from a mile away and tend to bark at people they are not familiar with.
Labrador Retriever
Labs, as they are popularly called, are intelligent, gentle and family dogs but they are also extremely smart and boast exceptional hunting skills. They are terrific guide dogs and rescue dogs. Labs are popular breeds for canine water rescue, therapy work, and assistance dog training. [14] Labs perform greatly in the canine sport of dock jumping. What makes Labradors especially smart are their superior and outstanding retrieving instincts, and also their ability to easily adapt to environments and situations. [15]
