Abyssinian

Abyssinian cats get their name from their country of origin, Abyssinia. This used to be the name of Ethiopia, a country in the North East of Africa. They have a short, ruddy coat with large, pointy ears, and a muscular body. They resemble their distant African wildcat ancestor, Felis lybica.
These cats are agile and well-known for their curious, vivacious personality. They are highly trainable. They often follow their owners around and can be leashed when going out for a stroll.
Healthy Abyssinian cats have an average life expectancy of 9 to 15 years. [14] They are medium-sized cats, about 8 to 10 inches tall. They weigh 8 to 12 pounds. This breed is available in many colors. The most common are ruddy, blue, red, and fawn.
