Flashing Lights

Flashing lights, contrasting bright visual patterns, and overexposure to video games can trigger seizures in some people. This condition is known as photosensitive epilepsy. It is not certain why this happens but researchers believe genetics is an important factor.
Epilepsy related to flashing lights and irregular patterns is more common in people between the ages of seven and 19. Girls are more prone to the condition but seizures happen more frequently in boys. This is likely because boys are more exposed to common triggers such as video games. Flashing lights cause seizures in up to 5 percent [12] of people with epilepsy in the United States.
Conclusion
If a person is convulsing, you should first make sure they are safe. Remove things that can cause injury around them and help them be more comfortable. Seek medical attention immediately if the convulsion does not stop after five minutes. Some seizures are one-time events while others may be more persistent. Frequent seizures (epilepsy) can often be managed with medication.
