When to see a doctor

If you suspect that you have been beaten by a spider whose venom is toxic to people, it is vital that you see your doctor immediately. Although you can be beaten by such a spider and not get any immediate severe reactions, note that a complication can still arise later on.
Even if the bite is from a non-venomous spider, it is important to see a doctor if you experience an allergic reaction, especially if you start to feel suffocated, have trouble breathing, or swallowing or experience heart palpitations.
You should also see your doctor if your symptoms start to aggravate and there are no signs of improvement, or if the spider bite has become infected.
