Malnutrition – Symptoms, Causes, Treatments and More

How to Prevent Malnutitrion

Malnutrition is better prevented than treated. It is important that we are deliberate about preventing malnutrition. To prevent malnutrition, you need to consume a range of nutrients from a variety of food types in a balanced order.

Older adults, young children, people with severe or chronic illness, and others may need additional care to ensure that they obtain the nutrients they need. One should immediately visit a doctor for a diagnosis or treatment as soon as you observe any sign of malnutrition.

In the U.S., effective treatment is usually available, although the outlook and time needed for recovery will depend on the cause of the malnutrition.
