Portugal has beautiful landscapes, sufficient amenities and a low cost of living. They teach in English in their schools so it is easier for Americans to relate in their local community. There are several islands to visit and the low cost. If you are a foodie, you will have no problem in Portugal. Portugal has the largest scores for the cost of living and healthcare. [4]
