This might seem like a lot to ask for. But you can help reduce those temperatures and help the planet at the same time. Turn off your lights and keep the oven at bay.  If you stay away from electric appliances and use them less, the chances of experiencing heat in your home are reduced.

Eat light

You might wonder why salads are so common in warmer climates. They are very easy to digest and won’t make you feel sluggish in the summertime heat.

It is important to stay away from fatty foods at all costs. Those delicious burgers might look irresistible, but you’ll feel a lot better if you consume only fruits [4] and veggies. Most healthy goodies are so watery that they’ll keep you hydrated and cool you down in no time.

Keep your (feet) cool

Be barefoot. The sweat on your feet evaporates faster, breathing heat in the process. You can also treat yourself to an ice bath for your feet. This is particularly helpful if you had a long hot day of walking or standing around.
