What is dysania?

Dysania is not the same thing as feeling sleepy. It cannot be controlled by having a good night’s sleep. It is clinically referred to as either fatigue or sleep inertia. It is an overwhelming or long-term feeling that you cannot get out of bed. Even after getting up from your bed, you will continue to feel the urge to go back to bed.

The following sleeping disorders are associated with Dysania:

Fatigue

Fatigue is an intense feeling of tiredness that is usually accompanied by a lack of motivation. It usually occurs after having a physically exhausting, emotionally draining today, or the loss of someone that makes you grieve, and a bad night’s sleep. You may also experience sluggishness and sloppiness. If it persists for longer than 14 days, you may have to visit your doctor.
