Dosage for Babies and the Maximum Dosage

Children younger than 6 years should stay away from over-the-counter oral Benadryl products. Benadryl creams and other products that are applied to the skin are not approved for children younger than 2 years.

It is important to speak with your healthcare provider before giving your baby Benadryl. The symptoms of your baby must be evaluated by your doctor, before prescribing the most appropriate dosage of the drug.

Children and adults should not apply Benadryl products like the spray, gel, and cream more than 4 times a day.
