Oriahnn is mainly used for people with heavy periods. It is a prescription medication used to treat heavy periods caused by fibroids seen in the uterus (fibrous are noncancerous development). Doctors recommend this drug for adult females who have not gotten to menopause [1].
It is vital to know that oriahnn should not be used for longer than 24 months. This is because the drug can cause a decrease in bone mass that cannot be treated.
Oriahnn appears as a capsule that is swallowed. You will use one type of capsule in the morning and another type at the night.
Oriahnn consists of the active drug elagolix and two hormones:
- Estradiol (a type of estrogen) [2]
- Norethindrone acetate (a type of progestin)
This drug can only be found as the brand-name drug oriahnn. It does not have a generic form.
