Side Effects
This medication has several side effects but many people have little to no side effects. Visit your doctor if you have signs of an allergic reaction to propranolol. Allergic reactions may include: hives, swelling in your face or throat, and difficulty in breathing). Get medical help if you experience severe skin reactions such as fever, burning eyes, sore throat, red or purple skin rash, skin blisters, and skin pain. Common side effects occur in more than 1 in 100 people but they are usually mild and short-lived. Some examples of these common side effects include;
- Dizziness
- Nausea

- Sore throat
- Persistent cough
- Constipation
- Stomach cramps
- Decreased sex drive
- Tiredness
Although it rarely occurs, some people experience severe side effects after taking this medication. Some examples of the side effects include;
- Yellow eyes
- Yellow skin
- Pale faeces or dark urine
- Prolonged nosebleeds
- Unexplained bruising
- Memory loss
- Cold fingers or toes
- Skin rash
- Fluid retention
- Shortness of breath
