How you prepare for cryosurgery depends on the type being performed. In the most common cause of skin cancer, only a little preparation is needed on your part.
In the case of cryosurgery being done on an internal organ, more preparation is required. Your doctor will instruct you on what to do before your surgery. First, you’ll be told not to eat anything for 12 hours before your surgery and get a transport ready to take you home after the procedure.
Discuss with your doctor before the surgery any allergies you have. Whether it be to the anesthesia, certain medications, or supplements.
