What to expect after cryosurgery?
In most cases of cryosurgery, you are allowed to return home the same day. However, if it was done internally, you might be administered in the hospital for a few days.
You’ll need to care for the incision wound or frozen area after the procedure. Your doctor will give you instructions to do this. You’ll be asked to keep the area clean and change the bandage regularly. This will help avoid infection and hasten recovery.
Your doctor will make follow-up appointments to keep track of your progress and watch for any complications. More cryotherapy might be done if the tumor grows again.
