Early Symptoms of Colon Cancer

Colon cancer is a type of cancer that starts from the colon or rectum, which are parts of the large intestine. The Colon is the last part of the digestive tract. Although colon cancer can happen at any age, older adults are more commonly affected by this. Colon cancer, also known as colorectal cancer is the most common type of gastrointestinal cancer [1] which is usually due to old age and lifestyle factors. Certain risk factors such as obesity, lack of physical activity, smoking, and alcohol could cause colon cancer.

Although symptoms may differ depending on where the tumor is located in the large intestine, here are some of the symptoms of Colon Cancer [2]:

Weakness or Fatigue

Weakness or Fatigue is the lack of muscle or physical strength and the decreased ability to move various parts of your body. This could occur as a result of sleep deprivation, stress, lack of exercise, or illness. This is also a symptom that does occur and indicates the possibility of colon cancer.
