Marfan Syndrome Symptoms, Causes, Treatments

High Myopia

High myopia is also called extreme nearsightedness. It is an eye condition where people find it difficult to see objects far away; people with high myopia cannot see objects that are more than a foot or very far from the face. It comes with complications, and this condition cannot be fixed but can be treated to improve and prevent complications. The connective tissue in the eyes is usually damaged in Marfan syndrome causing damage to the cornea, eye development, and lens, so patients diagnosed with this condition have high myopia and abnormal curvature of the eye or astigmatism. [2] Most of the eye problems associated with Marfan syndrome can be seen in other conditions, so medical doctors realize its relation to Marfan syndrome late.
