Forgetfulness

It’s normal to forget things occasionally, but for people with ADHD, forgetfulness tends to happen more frequently. This may include regularly forgetting where you’ve put something or what important dates you need to keep. In some cases, forgetfulness can be bothersome but not to the point of causing serious disruptions. Other times, it can be severe. The bottom line is that forgetfulness can have negative effects on careers and social relationships.
Forgetfulness can easily be mistaken for carelessness or lack of intelligence by others, if they’re not familiar with an ADHD diagnosis [4] and manifestations associated with the condition.
