Learning disability is a type of disorder that affects a person’s ability to talk, write and understand letters and words. There is also difficulty in doing math and in movement coordination. This happens due to neurobiological factors [4] that affect the manner in which the brain functions to the extent that it interferes with the ability to learn basic skills like writing and reading.

For every child, there is a certain level of knowledge a child should be able to understand at every age. When you notice that this is different for your child, there is no harm in seeing a doctor. Sometimes, it could just mean that the child is a late bloomer [5], and at times, it could mean it’s a disorder. Either way, it is better to know what the situation really is.
