Hyperactivity and Impulsivity

This is a state of being abnormally active, squirmy and unusually fidgety. A hyperactive child finds it hard to sit in one place for activities like reading, eating and watching TV. Adults who are hyperactive are often anxious or depressed due to their condition and how people react to it. They can be jumpy and very clumsy. Adults who are hyperactive find it hard to wait in lines, can’t stop talking and can gesticulate a lot.
Impulsivity is the tendency to act without considering the consequences of your actions. It is acting in such a manner that showcases lack of forethought and foresight. At times, these actions can be done due to a need to draw attention to themselves. These actions tend to be shocking and can at times be risky and cause harm. Although every child can be impulsive, it continues into when they’re young adults, it is a problem. Even in a child, being impulsive to the extreme, should be checked.
