Symptoms of RA in the feet

Symptoms of RA in the feet can vary widely, they include:

  • swelling, especially in one or more toe joints or in your ankles
  • persistent aching or soreness in the feet, especially after walking, running, or standing for long periods of time

Over time, these symptoms can cause severe pain in your foot making it difficult to use.

With RA you will experience flare-ups, as well as periods where you may have less noticeable symptoms or none at all, known as remission.

As you age, flare-ups may become more severe and periods of remissions shorter, your treatment is given will determine the severity and overall health.
