Effect of RA in the feet on the circulatory system in the body

Some common circulatory issues in your feet that can result from RA include:
- Raynaud’s phenomenon: This is when there is a partial or total blockage of blood from reaching the toes. Which would cause numbness and spasming in your toes, also, an abnormal change in color on your toes. The toes can feel cold due to decreased blood flow.
- Atherosclerosis: This is known as the hardening of the arteries, it happens when your arteries become narrow from plaque buildup. This can cause pain and cramps in your lower leg muscles.
- Vasculitis: This happens when your blood vessels get inflamed. This results in skin rashes, ulcers, and other possible symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, and fatigue.
