Gallstones

The gallbladder is located in the right upper quadrant under the liver. Gallstones are made of up bilirubin or cholesterol. Overweight is the main risk factor for having gallstones, especially when the weight is centered around your waist. Common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, yellowing of the eyes and skin, light-colored stools, brown urine, chills, fever, and sharp pain around the right upper quadrant for hours. If left untreated, they would block your bile ducts and lead to many complications. Removing the gallbladder is a possible treatment option.[5]
