Severe Food Allergies
It is important to note that even if a particular food typically triggers mild allergic reactions for you, which is not a guarantee that it will not trigger a more severe reaction if ingested at a later date. The severity of the allergic reaction a food will trigger is not given.
Severe food allergies are life-threatening and usually require immediate treatment. Some of the symptoms of severe food allergies include:
- Heart palpitations
- Severe abdominal cramping
- Flushing of the face
- Weak pulse
- The pale or blue coloration of the skin
- Shock or circulatory collapse
- Anaphylaxis.
If you experience any of these, you should see a doctor immediately.
