Early Warning Signs of a Brain Aneurysm

Nausea and Vomiting

Patients suffering from cerebral aneurysm may feel nauseous from time to time. This symptom usually follows after a sudden and severe headache. Nausea and vomiting is common with most health conditions.

Stiff Neck

When cerebral aneurysm starts to leak blood, it can cause inflammation of the membranes of the brain, known as meninges. This results in a stiff and painful neck that feels like there’s a lump in it. [5] Prolonged hours of a stiff neck can trigger severe headache.

Seizure

Seizures are uncontrolled electrical activities [6] in the brain cells that last between thirty seconds to two minutes. TMJ disorder patients may experience seizures when the swollen artery presses on the normal brain tissue or adjacent nerves. This is a warning sign of an unruptured cerebral aneurysm.

Note that these symptoms are mostly associated with ruptured or leaked brain aneurysms. Unruptured BA is often without any symptoms, [7] so it may go on for several years without getting detected. It may be detected while carrying out tests for other conditions. This allows you to treat it before it worsens. In very few cases, an unruptured aneurysm will have symptoms.
