Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy involves using anti cancer medications to kill cancer cells. Your child will either receive these medications intravenously or orally, depending on the type of drug. Chemotherapy may cause the following side effects:
- hair loss [5]
- mouth sores [6]
- nausea
- vomiting
- a weakened immune system
- fatigue
In most cases, side effects usually go away after treatment.
