Common Symptoms of Cataracts

Harder to Distinguish Color & Double Vision/Duplicate Object

Having difficulty distinguishing colors correctly is also a very common symptom of cataracts. As the vision is impaired, the patient may confuse some colors. As the cataract progresses slowly, the crystal of the lens can even become colored brown. The yellow or gold/brown color of the lens can lead to the person having difficulty distinguishing between shades of color.

Difficulty seeing and perceiving images as well as seeing distorted people with blurred and misshapen outlines are one of the characteristic features of developing cataracts. Affected individuals tend to see duplicate objects [9] and people.
