Punctal plugs

This procedure is effective to help the tears remain on the surface of the eye longer. A punctual plug is a tiny, sterile device put into one of the small punctures of the drainage in tear ducts, located in the inner corner of the upper and limb eyelids. Tears will no longer drain away from the eye through ducts after these openings have plug. Many people ask to know where these tears eventually go; they evaporate from the eye surface without showing any symptoms. Some individuals inserting the punctual plugs result in watery eyes, then will remove some of the pins.
