What are the risks or side effects?

There are several possible side effects of microneedling that you must know. They are common and short-lived, they include:

- - Swelling
  - Skin flaking
  - Redness or discoloration and irritation

The research was done in 2021 that revealed the possible side effects of microneedling by studying people that have done the procedure. The study discovered that the possible side effects are very low. You should know that microneedling actually involves small punctures to the skin. if you start to bleed, experience yellow or green discharge, or a fever that is higher than 103°F (39°C) after any form of microneedling, you should visit your doctor immediately.
