Blepharitis

Inflammation of the eyelids is referred to as blepharitis. It can cause your eyelids or eyes to look red and puffy.
Additional signs of blepharitis include the following:
- increased tearing
- feeling like something is in your eye
- itching
- crusty eyelids in the morning
- sensitivity to light
Blepharitis may potentially result in more severe symptoms, especially if it is not treated. These may include eyesight blurriness, eyelash growth in the incorrect place, or eyelash loss.
If your eyelids have a lot of microorganisms, blepharitis may result. Additionally, plugged oil glands in your eyelids may cause the disease to worsen. In rare instances, a mite infestation might also lead to blepharitis.
