Note

Symptoms can increase with strong emotional experiences, mental and physical overload, a sharp change in temperature, with the action of cold. Patients also complain of increased meteosensitivity. The fear that the symptoms are a manifestation of a serious illness can also make symptoms worse. Fibromyalgia is 7 times more common in women. It usually occurs in young and middle-aged women, but it also occurs in men, children, and adolescents. The most frequent symptoms that determine the diagnosis are generalized pain and fatigue, although they are usually accompanied by sleep disorders, anxiety [9], depression, and concentration and/or memory retrieval difficulties. There are no diagnostic tests [10] that can determine fibromyalgia, but they are sometimes performed to exclude that it is another condition, for example, rheumatics. Fibromyalgia can appear in the course of other diseases and shares signs with several other ailments, but the set of its symptoms is very characteristic of it, which usually makes it easier and faster to determine its diagnosis.
