Diabetic Neuropathy

This condition is a common complication of diabetes. High blood pressure can cause damage to specific nerves in the body. This condition then causes pain in both legs of the individual. Aside from pain, diabetic neuropathy causes less sensation in the lower legs or numbness.
Please consult a licensed doctor when a cut or sore on foot is noticed or changes in digestion are observed. The American Diabetes Association advises that the screening for diabetic neuropathy starts immediately after a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.
