Difference between parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism

There are significant differences between these two health conditions and they are:

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease while parkinsonism is not progressive
Parkinson’s disease is caused by dysfunction of the brain cells that produce dopamine while Parkinsonism is caused majorly by brain strokes or brain attacks.
Parkinson’s disease can be treated by the use of dopamine while Parkinsonism does not fully respond to dopamine.
Lastly, Parkinson’s disease affects the general movement of the body while Parkinsonism affects mostly the lower parts of the body.
