It’s advisable to eat less food daily to put less stress on the digestive system. Individuals are expected to stick to foods high in protein and antioxidants.

Depending on the root cause of pancreatitis, individuals could reduce the risk since prevention could be impossible. Some of the things that may help include maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol intake, and eating a balanced diet. Consuming high fiber and avoiding sugar can help prevent gallstones, which is a common cause of acute pancreatitis.
