Keratitis

Keratitis [4] is an eye condition that affects the cornea by making it become inflamed. Usually, the condition follows dull to severe pain and also causes impaired eyesight and high sensitivity to light. Aside from conjunctivitis, individuals may experience gritty eyes, where it feels like sand is in the eye.
Non-infectious keratitis can occur due to a minor injury, wearing a contact lens for too long, or the presence of a foreign body in the eye. It is crucial to consult the doctor with immediate effect to avoid potential complications like open sores on the cornea, blindness, temporal vision loss, or chronic corneal inflammation and scarring.
