Symptoms and Diagnosis of Sarcoidosis

Skin

This form of the disease has both non-specific and characteristic symptoms. The former include dryness of the skin and their peeling, scar changes on the skin [4], a violation of its pigmentation, expressions, weakness, and hair loss.

Specific symptoms appear in the form of:

  • small plaques [5] on the skin of a reddish hue, mainly in the upper body, on the face, and the bend of the arms;
  • Manifestations of lupus fever in the form of skin redness and coarsening (more often on the fingers and skin of the ears, nose, and cheeks).

In addition to the listed manifestations, the patient may suffer from erythema nodosum – inflammation of the capillaries with hyperemia and roughness of the skin.
