Symptoms and Diagnosis of Sarcoidosis

Heart & Nervous System

Heat sarcoidosis is rare [6] and does not manifest itself. However, with the long-term nature of its course, irreversible changes in cardiac functions, the development of heart failure, and arrhythmias are possible. Sarcoidosis of the heart occurs simultaneously with damage to the lymph nodes or lungs. Indirect signs: shortness of breath during physical activity, pain in the heart, swelling of the lower extremities, pallor of the skin.

When the nervous system is affected by sarcoidosis, patients often note pathologies of the facial nerve. The disease can also affect other nerve centers, while the functions of the central nervous system are disrupted. With damage to the brain, the development of epileptic activity [7] is possible.
