Cyst vs. Fibroids: Causes
Cysts and fibroids can develop at any time. Fibroids can develop in clusters and are most prevalent in people in their 40s and early 50s. The majority of cysts are functional cysts that typically appear in women who have not yet entered menopause.
Causes of Fibroid
Although the exact etiology of uterine fibroids is unknown, genetics and female sex hormone levels may be involved. And from the time they reach menopause, they become more prevalent. Additional danger signs consist of:
- being Black, which researchers believe may be caused by more general stress
- having a family history of fibroids,
- a diet high in red meat
