Conclusion

A surgical procedure used to treat breast cancer is a radical mastectomy. The breast, pectoral muscles, and all lymph nodes under the arms are all removed. Once upon a time, a radical mastectomy was the go-to therapy for breast cancer. Nowadays, it’s rarely necessary.
Radiation, systemic medicines, and less invasive operations like modified radical or complete mastectomy are frequently highly effective. A malignant breast tumor that has spread into the chest wall may warrant a radical mastectomy.
