Pain During Sex

Pain during sex may be due to a series of problems. However, one of the significant causes of pain is a yeast infection. Sexual intercourse with a yeast infection can cause a great deal of discomfort. The swollen and irritated labia may result in causing a severe level of pain when having skin-to-skin intercourse.
Apart from the yeast infection, pain during sex could be due to problems with the uterus’s opening (cervix). If there’s a deep penetration case, problems with the cervix like infection can cause severe pain.
Pain during sex can result from vulvodynia, which is described as a chronic pain that affects the external sexual organs of a woman, including the labia, clitoris, and vaginal opening. Note that vulvodynia may occur in one spot or affect various areas from time to time.
