Breastfeeding Positions And Tips For Mom And Baby

Cross-cradle hold

The cross-cradle hold starts with staying in an upright position on a chair. Put your baby across your chest using your arm adjacent to the breast she is sucking. With the right breast, you will use your left arm; and your right arm for the left breast. Ensure you support your baby’s head with your arm. You can use your other arm to support your breast from the underside.

The cross cradle position has many similarities as the cradle. However, unlike cradle hold, it does not involve holding your baby in the nook of your elbow. It involves bringing the opposite arm and holding the baby’s head.

This position allows you to properly control the baby’s head. You can manipulate the baby’s head into any position you want.
