Results of the Procedure
The change in shape of the nose is usually permanent. However, it takes about a year for these results to be perfectly seen. The results are permanent, except the nose is damaged or broken.
After a closed rhinoplasty procedure, doctors always advise patients to avoid the following activities:
- Excessive shewing
- Swimming
- Drinking alcohol
- Pulling clothes over your head
- Blowing nose
- Stressful physical activities
- Sleeping with the face down
These activities are to be avoided, so the effects of the surgery can be seen quickly and to hasten recovery. The casts are removed after a week or two exposing the new nose.
