Just like every surgery, closed rhinoplasty has its side effects. These side effects include:

Bleeding of the nose
Scars
Deformities after procedure that require another surgery for correction
An asymmetrical nose
Prolonged bruising
Breathing difficulties
Allergic reaction to anesthesia
Numb nose
Bursting of little blood vessels on the surface of the skin
Permanent nerve lesion
Under or over correction that require a second rhinoplasty procedure

The procedure lasts for a short period (1-2 hours)
There are no visible scars
The swellings that are occur after procedure are small compared to open rhinoplasty

It requires more technical abilities
The surgeon sees less than open rhinoplasty
Challenges are faced with extensive nasal tip work
Difficulty with cartilage grafting work
The shaping is usually less precise
Less accurate modifications
Limited visualization
