How to Inspire a Love of Movement from an Early Age

How to Make Your Child Love Movement

The fastest and best way to create a love of movement from an early age is to ensure your child is having fun. If your child doesn’t get excited about doing a certain activity, it is usually because she doesn’t enjoy the activity. If your child enjoys an activity, she will always want to engage in that activity. However, you must always encourage them, even when it seems they are not doing the right thing.

Every child has an activity they enjoy doing. Whether their taste lies in music, sports, or exercise, you must help them discover that activity. Also, you must make sure your child doesn’t see these activities as a chore.

As children grow older, they begin to love organized physical activities. Some children start to love competitive activities, while some just want to participate for recreational purposes. It would help to maintain a variety of movement that involves dancing in the sitting room, walking with the family, yoga [1], tree climbing, and other exciting activities.

Children who start engaging in physical activities from an early age are likely to continue with these activities when they grow older. In some cases, they develop more interest in these activities and it becomes an occupation.
