Sandwiches

Sandwiches contain high levels of sodium. Studies show that it accounts for almost half of the sodium Americans consume. Sandwiches consist of processed meat, cheese, bread, and condiments which contribute significantly to the high levels of sodium in sandwiches. For instance, a 6-inch submarine sandwich produced with cuts amcontains about 1,127 mg of sodium, or 49% of the RDI. It would help to reduce the amount of sodium you consume by sticking to only unprocessed sandswich toppings, like grilled chicken breast with sliced avocado and tomato.
