Use Alternative Sweeteners Instead of Sugar

It’s unhealthy to use sugar to sweeten food when on a low-carb diet. A tablespoon of white sugar has 12 grams of carbs as sucrose. Besides, honey also has a higher amount of carbs. From a tablespoon of honey, the body gets supplied with approximately 17 grams of carbs. It’s more advisable to learn to enjoy natural flavor foods without including sugar. Some examples of sugar-free sweeteners are Erythritol, Stevia and Xylitol.

 

Avoid Sugar-Sweetened Beverages
