Imported Shrimp and Imported King Crab

Imported farmed shrimp usually contains a Wild variety of contaminants, such as antibiotics, dirt such as mouse hair, and residues from chemicals used to clean pens. Escherichia Coli, a species of bacteria, was also detected in imported farmed shrimp.

If you love eating shrimp, it is important for you to know that it contains a food additive, known as 4-hexylresorcinol [7] which helps prevent loss of color in shrimp. This additive contains estrogen-like effects and can increase the risk of having breast cancer in women. It can also decrease sperm count in men.  Except a diluted form of formaldehyde, all the pesticides used in the production of shrimp are banned in the United States because they have carcinogenic properties.

Studies show that 70% of the king crab fish in the United States is imported. Most of it comes from Russia where they are not properly taken care of. Russian crabs are often mistaken for Alaska. Over 75% of king crab in the United States is imported from Russia and it is not protected. Many red king crabs coming from Russia are not properly taken care of.
