Spinach

Spinach is a green leafy vegetable rich in vitamin B, calcium, folic acid, vitamin K and vitamin C, which helps boost metabolism naturally. It contains iron that also helps in the carriage of oxygen needed for our muscles to burn fat. Spinach [10] also has a high water and fiber content, a perfect combination that helps increase the ability of the body to burn fat and keeps the calories in control. Due to this effect, the metabolism of the body is kept in check.
Oats
Eating oatmeal helps the body burn calories twice as fast as when eating everyday processed foods. Oatmeal [11] is a healthy whole grain that provides vitamins and minerals, making it the perfect food to boost metabolism. They not only reduce insulin levels in the body, which prevents a rapid increase in the blood sugar level but also contain plenty of fiber. As the body breaks down the fiber, it burns the excess calories, which help boost metabolism.
Conclusion
To attain healthy body weight, many foods, when taken including vegetables [12], foods rich in protein can help in boosting the metabolism of the body. Also, junk foods are considered to be highly processed foods that are very high in calories and also very low in nutrients which are quite harmful to the body.
